Your Simply Amazing Stuck in My Head Song of the Day

Today your simply amazing stuck in my head song of the day is David Bowie's "Heroes." I think I was inspired by the memory of 6 years ago ordinary people doing extraordinary things, or maybe it was the Starz commercial with the Wallflowers' version. But whichever and however the song has stuck with me with the idea that whoever we are and whatever our station we can be heroes, if just for one day. And yes I know the song is about, and the lyrics speak of two forbidden lovers, and the title is ironic, but humor me.

I actually like this performance and this version a lot more, but the following, more official version has an atmosphere more in keeping with the vibe of today (no smiling guitarist over the shoulder) and I'm a sucker for atmosphere:

Tomorrow we will be born again into a post September 11th world. All the promises, hopes and opportunities are still there in front of us. Let's try to do better with them this time.
