* but I still want
This is the first one of these for 3 weeks so I fear this may be long and I may be out of practice being witty or insightful.
- But as always I'll start with things for the Dream House
- The Wasauna Whirlpool is surrounded by transparent glass, which could be really cool and sexy or just pervu and disgusting, I haven't decided yet.
- Steve Jobs Worship
- There is a rumor circulating that Apple is at work on a touch screen tablet computer, an achievement that would "[combine] the direct screen interaction of the iPhone with the functions of a MacBook." I am quite happy to spread this rumor because it would be incredibly cool, though I don't think I'm cool/techy or busy enough to justify one.
- A few items I've been meaning to talk about since before "the incident"
- The Washington Post ( or WaPo as the cool kids that I've never interacted with, call it) had a slideshow feature on Closet Builders for the Fall and Winter seasons. I apparently need to start rebuilding my closet.
- In the New York Times there was an article about those wacky but oh so creative Japanese. The article talked about how some Japanese fearing crime have created and taken to wear clothing that can be converted into a camouflage piece, like a vending machine or something similar. But what happens if your offerings look delicious and your potential mugger starts trying to put in change? (thus leading to them getting angry and punching "the machine" (you) in frustration, which kind of defeats the purpose of the whole outfit it seems.)
- Shoes
- I'm sure I could find somewhere to wear these Anemone Stilletos by Christian Louboutin. I mean I'd probably go out of my way to make new more sophisticated friends just for the opportunity to show off those.
- By Jill Stuart, the Giselle Bootie
- or this by Rachel Zoe (amazing name)
- Bags
- Coin purses in the shape of fortune cookies (unfortunately the fortune always turns out to be an I.O.U.)
- Bucket Bags by applique ( I think I want one in both of the schemes)
- From Ayako Designs, an interchangeable/convertible bag ( there is a large part of me that's all about functionality, no matter what you may have been led to believe)
- Jewelry (this is always the funnest one)
- I wish I knew german so I knew exactly what "zwiesprache mit katze" because to me it says something like "{something}speak my cat" though I'm sure thats a million miles away. This ring will get people speaking about it in any language, I'm positive.
- By Sean O'Connell (I wonder if he's irish) the spring ring is just my thing (zing!)
- The Self Adjusting Magnetic Ring that "unlike a normal ring you do not have to slide these rings on, simply open them place over your knuckle and then tighten the fit as you desire"
- A necklace I feel I could make a cheaper version of but that wouldn't be as cool- a clothes pin necklace with dog tag.
- The White Floating Bead Necklace where "Six long strands suspend translucent white oval and round lucite vintage beads. The beads appear to float around the neck"
- A 24kt-gold chain with charms of diamonds in sterling silver by Sevan Bicakci,
- Available from Deva a Caracol nature palm wood bracelet
- Elise Moran chandelier earrings made with Swarovski crystal- I feel more glamorous already.
- I haven't grown out of my butterfly phase (and hopefully I won't as I'm incorporating one into a tattoo) and so I really like this Butterfly Bracelet.
- (I'm not really sure how to label this category and I don't want to put) Misc.
- Speaking of my Butterfly pseudofetish here's a Butterfly Belt from Paul& Joe
- It is getting hella cold outside so these Buckle Cuff Leg Warmers by Lara Kazan would be incredibly helpful, and their stylish enough where I wouldn't hate myself for wearing them- pretty nice 2fer.
- Speaking of things with buckles that are useful (for hiding annoying protuberances) for keeping me warm here's a crocheted neck warmer.
- What To Wear on the Upper Bod
- A Grey Hooded Blazer by Language- bringing the hardcore-ness of the street into the office.
- This Flight Wrap top which seems like it would be perfect for flying (and I'm not just saying that because it has the word "flight" in its title-probably)
- From Burberry, a Double Toggle Coat- I could do that, I feel. ( I just wonder if a single toggle would be cheaper)
- A Wrap Tie Vest by Chulo Pony
- I'm a big fan of assymetry, don't know why. But therefore thi Vivenne Westwood Red Label A-Symmetric Ruffle Bottom Jacket I really like. (profound I know)
- By Christopher Fischer Cashmere a Cable Shawl Cardigan (and yes I know, cashmere is horrible for the environment)
- Dresses
- I wonder how I'd look in something like a Shimmer High Waist Skirt. If curiosity every overtakes me here's a really [drawing an adjectival blank] one by Robert Rodriguez.
- Speaking of things I wonder how I'd look in, witness this Dolly Dress by l.a.m.b.
- From Tahari this Belted Jacket & Skirt number is mad sophisticated (is that term oxymoronic?)
- By Dolce & Gabbana this Stretch Melange Dress
- and finally this Liquorice Stripe Dress (does Kate Moss design now?) is so trippy it's hypnotizing and thus either the coolest or least aesthetically appealing thing I've seen today that I'd still wear; I haven't decided yet.
(and on a side personal note-does anyone know of a good push up bra for a small A-cup?if so could you please let me know? i have yet to find one...) Sphere: Related Content
