Celebrity Showdown: Elizabeth Banks v. Rachel McAdams

I hope my picture medley from yesterday whetted your appetite. It was just an idea I had, because those two actresses look like the same person to me and I always get them confused. So with that in mind I decided to judge them onto who is better, because judging people, especially from a distance is fun. I'll make up the categories as we go along and will base most of my ammo from their respective Wikipedia and IMDb sites. On with the show

Nationality- Elizabeth was born in Pittsfield, Mass, while Rachel was born in the great white north of Canadia. Elizabeth wins, obviously. (U-S-A-U-S-A)

Screen Name- Elizabeth Banks v. Rachel McAdams: Elizabeth Banks is a bit more common but it does have a feeling of class and almost nobility. But with that commonness it is not instantly recognizable. Unlike Rachel McAdams. Rachel is a pretty unique celebrity name, but it is timeless as well. and with McAdams as a last name there is no real doubt who you're referring too. Plus it has a little bit of spunk, at least to me. Rachel wins.

Real Name- Rachel MacAdams simply became Rachel McAdams. That's a boring change, and kinda lazy too (I can't bother with an additional vowel) Elizabeth Banks, however was born as Elizabeth Maresal Mitchell. That's a change, and I love that middle name. Point Elizabeth.

Youthful Exploits-Elizabeth was a contestant on Finders Keepers while it is one of their weaker shows, it still was on Nickelodeon. Rachel was a competitive figure skater and was a member of a kids troupe called Original Kids. Pssh. Elizabeth in a walk.

Smarts- Rachel graduated from York University with honors and a BFA in theatre but turned down starring roles in The Devil Wears Prada and Casino Royale (bad move). Elizabeth however, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
Advantage Elizabeth.

First 3 major movie roles- Elizabeth's: Wet Hot American Summer (nice) and Spiderman (sweet), and Swept Away (eww.) Rachel's: The Hot Chick (why?), Mean Girls (yes!) and The Notebook ( I heart); Both 2 out of 3 but Rachel's two, wins.

Best role- Rachel- Allie from the Notebook (obv) Elizabeth- Marcela in Seabiscuit (love that movie) but probably Beth in 40 year old Virgin. I gotta go with Rachel again.

Worst Role- Elizabeth: Kim from Scrubs (hate that show) Rachel: Amy from the Family Stone- I really didn't like that movie. But I guess Rachel still wins because Amy didn't annoy me as much as Kim (or anyone on that show really.)

Comedic Stylings: Rachel in Mean Girls; she was more the butt of most of the jokes, and in Wedding Crashers I liked her sister a lot more. Elizabeth was phenomenal in 40 year old Virgin and she also works with the comedy group Stella that I enjoy. Edge Elizabeth.

Brunette appeal- Rachel looks really pretty with dark hair, while I can't remember ever seeing Elizabeth with dark hair. And being a brunette myself, I must give the point to Rachel.

Leading Man Hotness: Rachel has worked with Rob Schneider (ha) Cillian Murphy, Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson. She has made out with (amongst others I'm sure) Ryan Gosling and Owen Wilson. A strong list. Elizabeth has worked with Jeff Bridges, Paul Rudd (hottness) , Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio. She has made out with Steve Carrell, Mark Wahlberg, Jeff Bridges and Zach Braff (ew.) Working cast goes to Elizabeth but Ryan Gosling outstrips any other hotness (plus they're dating in real life) so Rachel gets a point as well.

Future: Elizabeth has seven productions in the pipeline, including Definitely Maybe, Fred Claus, Starship Dave and The H-Man Cometh, which all could be amazing. Rachel has three films in production, with only The Time Traveler's Wife jumping out at me as of now. Elizabeth once more.

Fan popularity: Rachel McAdams has 1,820,00 hits on google. Elizabeth Banks has only 556,000. Ouch. Landslide Rachel

So after exhausting all scientific methods that I could think of off the top of my head, it appears to be a tie. Hmm. a tie breaker; I mean I love, love, love the Notebook so I wanted a tie so I could nudge the voting in her direction, but I've always, for some reason, had a spot for Elizabeth and this exercise has only made me realize why. Therefore in the interest of fairness, they will be twins once more and I will totally cop out by declaring a draw. (I've never been good at decisions) Feel free to yell at me in the comments, just not to0 loudly.
