*but I'd still like to see or experience
- Tis the season so I'd like to see peace on earth and goodwill towards men (funny how no one talks about those during the other eleven months in the year)
- To go to Mecca for the Hajj. (I'm writing more about that tomorrow)
- Clarence Thomas says he really doesn't like being a Supreme Court Justice and in a wild coincidence no one else likes him being a Justice either. So I'd enjoy seeing him retire in February...2009. then maybe he can do something he wants with his 15 cent Yale Law degree.
- I really want to know why the New Orleans City Council seems to not care about people and is destroying low income public housing and more importantly I want to know an efective way to reach them. Or to make them care. So frustrating.
- I'd like in the next debate and election cycle for the top political show hosts to ask about global warming more than 24 times out of 2,275 questions, though of course in the next cycle we'll probably all be underwater so it won't matter.
- Before the world floods though I want airlines to get a f*cking clue so people won't get charged more than $200 because they have to cancel their flights on Hawaiian Airlines because their mother died. Assholes. I hate the airline industry, like a lot.
- I would enjoy knowing if The Sixty One is actually cool and worth my time before I set up an account. I do like music and getting sick of bands once everyone hears of them, though. Tempting.
- Ok Nerd Alert: but I kinda want to go to Jedi camp (just so I can learn the Force and turn Sith-I prefer their colors)
- Continuing Nerd Alert: New Line and Peter Jackson have finally settled their differences and will work together on the two new Hobbit movies. Praise Eru. I wonder if it's going to incorporate any Silarillion stuff or if they'll save that for another movie.
- I want Disney to admit they're racist once and for all (mostly because I've had that link for awhile but keep forgetting to use it.)
- ESPN is creating a studio and complex across from the Staples Center in L.A to complement the Bristol headquarters. I'm not sure what I really want out of it besides maybe the end of the East Coast bias.
- I really wish I could settle down one place so I could actually become a "locavore;" this BBC article made me not hate the concept that much and made it make sense.
- Or maybe I should just try to eat like they did in the Middle Ages-"low-fat, vegetable-rich diet - washed down by weak ale" apparently it's a lot better for you than the modern diet, though that probably isn't that tough a feat
- I might be temtpted to cheat on whatever health kick I'm on with a Coke. I don't drink soda normally but if US advertisers took a cue from Russian ones and started making "satanic Coca Cola ads" well then I'd have to run with the devil.
- Finally it's a huge weekend for hugely hyped and anticipated movies most of which I want to see. Opening this week (or weekend)
- Charlie Wilson’s War
- National Treasure: Book of Secrets
- P.S. I Love You
- Sweeney Todd
- Walk Hard
- Flakes
- Steep
- and from Bollywood, Taare Zameen Par
