Mississippi Considers Restaurant Ban For Obese-Still Probably Hates Black People

From CBS news

A lawmaker in the fattest state in the nation says he wasn't trying to offend anybody by filing a bill that would ban restaurants from serving food to obese customers.

He says he never even expected his plan to become law.

"I was trying to shed a little light on the number one problem in Mississippi," said Republican Rep. John Read of Gautier.

That's an interesting way to go about it.
Anyway here’s the CBS morning show interview with Maggie Rodriguez (who is so adorable and I used to love back when she was an anchorwoman out here on ABC 7 like ten years ago….I’m old.)

There’s probably a better way to bring attention to the problem and if it really is a problem how about changing the way you eat and the food you serve in restaurants.

Not all that comfortable when people try to ban people from establishments just because of their looks especially not in Mississippi. Some (ok maybe me) might even call it a Segregation of the Skinny

(and reading the first comment on that story it did remind me that once again it is a Republican, those proponents of small government, that wants to increase the scope of government far beyond anything the Founders wanted and not only into our bedrooms but our kitchens)
