Nicorette Makes You Crazy And Evil

Smoking may blacken your lungs and kill you but if the alternative is being addicted to the same thing that Ann Coulter is, that she chomps on as if they were the bones of “unperfected” jewish children, that I assume contributes to her craziness, well... where are my Capris?

Other highlights of anchors “off air” through Harry Shearer’s Found Object
Hannah storm lecturing some CBS morning show guy who doesn’t really “get” Joe Montana
Bill O’Reilly, looking more and more like an actual demon berating someone named Dave. What a struggle indeed
Chris “here’s my hotel key, Barack” Matthews with his ever present smirk

This Must’ve Been Embarrassing

I think a name change may be in order

Poor Chip Maxham, probably now understands all too well what Ronnie McGorvey went through.
Hopefully though some overzealous parents don't chip off his block

That Was Probably Awkward

In a story about Mitt Romney, Keith Olbermann totally in passing mentioned that Mike Huckabee was taping a guest appearance on The Tyra Banks Show and my jaw just dropped.
No way- that didn't make any sense to me; it seemed like Huck would be the last candidate Tyra would have on her show but apparently it is so (and part of a mini media blitz followed by a taping of The Colbert Report.)

Really what could they have talked about? I'm sure Tyra will talk about his weight loss and like crusade for better diets or whatever and all the feel good Huckabee stuff but there would totally be a giant pink elephant in the room (that if Huck had his way would be quarantined) and that would be the Scary ultra Christian Huck.

For a women whose career is based in a very large part by the gay community, who probably has a tonne of gay friends and who has a very large and loyal gay audience and following is she just going to skirt over all those issues? I know it's not going to be a hard hitting journalistic interrogation, I don't expect that from Tyra but still how could that not be brought up?

I really hope Tyra takes a stand- that truly would be fierce.
And speaking of awkward television moments here is a case of TMI on your local news

once again, pick your perversions. I've never tried it so I won't judge
(and yes I may have just used this post as an opportunity to share the anchorwoman spanking clip)

Cindy McCain is a Gynoid

When I saw this ad on Wonkette about putting a "Fembot in the White House" one of the first thoughts that came to my mind (after “huh?”)was that it must be a pro McCain group and they have to be referring to Cindy McCain who looks like a 1970s model Fembot and has such intense eyes they’re kinda scary, yet mesmerizing.

Even Katie Couric noticed
And she admits to being transfixed by John McCain's wife's eyes.

(at about 2/3rds of the way through)
"She looks like a husky, those weird blue eyes," she said. "Cindy McCain has the most intense blue eyes ... They were so intense, I couldn't stop staring at her. She must have thought I was weird.

Oh, the ad is actually for Svedka Vodka

I’m not sure what the whole fembot angle is about but whatever; I do like some of their e-cards though

The Feel Good Story of the Season

Kevin Everett is both the most tragic and most hopeful best story of the football season. His recovery was chronicled last night on Nightline and I think on GMA this morning and it was a really really powerful program, especially considering the fact that the interview was conducted by Bob Woodruff who has had a “miraculous” recovery of his own. It made me really happy.

Nightline also talked about how doctors “used a controversial treatment on Everett which involved inducing hypothermia and injecting him with steroid” and my only question is why is it controversial and why don’t they use it regularly- I mean after saying he’d never walk again, guess what? He was walking five months later

And no this footage was not featured

(how perfect and how perfectly screwed up was that? And it was synched up so well too)

Fun on Live TV

So I watched Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday because John Edwards was scheduled to be on as a guest. His interview went pretty well (except for the awkwardness of the first few questions when it seemed John was trying to decide how comedic or open to be with it and at the end when Bill Maher suggested he'd donate to the campaign if he didn't think it would hurt at this point John stuck his hand out and pointed into it "Money" which really doesn't help to combat the image of rich guy loving money and is a misstep that I could see being edited into commercials down the road, though he did wear a purple tie that I liked as it could be used to symbolize a United America with its blending of Red and Blue) and the crowd loved him. [You can watch it here or]

After John's segment was over I kept watching because I guess I didn't want to take the time or effort to change the channel, but I'm glad I didn't because then the hecklers started and it was really compelling and tense and I felt awkward watching it

Seriously though where was the security? It took them forever (and in "real time" it seemed like a lot longer than the 4 and a half minutes.) I don't think I would have been upset if they had gotten tasered, bro. For the whole rest of the show I kept expecting to hear someone screaming from the audience and though it was annoying and rude this incident totally gave Bill Maher the most press and attention since he suggested that the 9/11 hijackers weren't cowardly.
