Ephemeral Desires: Things that are too cool/trendy for me*

but I still want to see or experience

• Let me get this out of the way first because it is rather distasteful and disgusting. I would love t be rich enough where I am bored with all normal experiences and human decency so then I could go to this restaurant in Japan where I could have sex with a pig (or any other animal!) before it is served to me for dinner. I feel sick. The rich really are....(filthy/depraved) different.
• On second thought I think I'd settle for being rich enough to stay at this 7 star hotel in Dubai. The "28 floor building will be located 300m from the coast, accessible only by helicopter or boat. The seven star hotel will have 438 luxury suites as well as an art gallery, sumptuous spa facilities and an underwater restaurant...! To top it off, the top two floors would house a temperature-controlled butterfly jungle with tropical species," Hmm I can see maybe 6.5 stars...
• And because I'm an emotionally conflicted bitch I really want to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall not just because the title is what I want to be doing and an inside joke but also because the cast looks fabulous and it's produced by Judd Apatow. Sounds like a winner
  
• I would love for the squirrels in my backyard to do something entertaining like this rather than just run up the tree and cause my dog to bark so loudly in the middle of the night. Not that I'm bitter or anything.
• I'm really excited about NBC's new free download service. I mean once they realize people have Macs. Or maaybe I shouldn't be. Which is kind of sad because I'm interested in their new show where they follow kids for the next 13 years in Class of 2020, from Kindergarten to high school graduation- I mean I wonder where my 1st grade class is doing now (I can't believe they're going into 6th grade now-wow.)
• Though I can't wait that long so I think I'll be happy with seeing how 24's writers plan to bring back Tony in the new season, considering he died and all.
• This border ceremony at the Wagah Crossing between Pakistan and India sounds really cool and I really wish I could see it. If only I didn't have to travel around the world to do so...What's that? Ah God bless the wonders of youtube.
  
• Hey Courtney Love's thinking about releasing her own perfume! Just what I always wanted- to smell like a drug addicted grave robbing old skank. (i loved hole though, in all seriousness)
• Not that I have anything against the guy but I would love for Oscar de la Hoya to fight to prove those pictures are fake and get owned by the stripper who says she took them at the Ritz-Carlton in Pennsylvania in May- that would amuse me greatly.
  
• And finally the director of Donnie Darko has a new movie coming out Southland Tales. I can't tell if it's a comedy, drama, satire or allegory but it does have Justing Timberlake looking like a scarred out druggie and the Rock in a Jesus Christ Pose plus bastardizing Eliot and the apocalypse happening in L.A. (where else would it?)- looks pretty cool and I'll definitely see it (and be beyond confused when it's over I'm sure) Watch this if you want to be even more confused, or intrigued
